The Problem:
The way that the invoicing system currently works is too rigid for some photographers. Photographers would like to be able to customise their client's payment structure to allow:
- Payment plans / payment instalments
- More than one invoice per shoot
- Allow tipping after a shoot
- Being able to add quantities and custom line items to invoices

Hi Lindsey Millar thanks for reaching out. At the moment, we are in the middle of a pretty substantial rebuild of our business architecture - a necessary first step to enable us to make big changes to our invoicing system.
Once that is complete, our first priority is to tackle some minor invoice changes (like being able to add quantities and custom line items to invoices). Once that is complete, the current plan is to explore the option to add multiple invoices per shoot, and finally the ability to break those invoices down in to multiple payment instalments.
It's a bit of a long road ahead, but it's our key priority at this stage. We'll keep you in the loop when we have any updates.

Being able to manually write in the "product or service/details" for an invoice. All my invoices are different, bespoke for each client. I have to always go into another screen to create the "service" and then go back to the client, the invoice, and then select the "service". We should be able to just write it directly into the invoice.

Detailed invoice

If I could choose only one adjustment currently it would be to have the option of a more detailed invoice. The option to add quantity and a description. For commercial clients I still need to use another invoicing system than unscripted and its time consuming and does not look professional.

We are preparing an app release (version 4.5.7) which will include this change, as well as a few quality of life improvements for invoicing. We are looking enable this feature for some interested photographers to get some early feedback.

More detailed invoices

I know we can choose multiple services that can show up on the invoice. However, would be nice if there was a "proposal description" section where we could list all services that will be included for the wedding coverage (how many photographers, number of images, hours of coverage, etc.). So that way if they pick package 1 listed on our profile, I could choose package 1 as the service and then list out everything included under the proposal description section. Otherwise, I'd have to price out invidividually each item, like the second shooter or travel which I don't necessarily feel like the client needs to see these itemized.
